BABY Pink Gin Wins International Spirit Award
Australia’s premium pink gin, BABY Pink Gin, has been awarded a Silver Medal in the International Spirits Competition.
The competition was open to all commercially produced spirits from around the world with over 200 entries from 10 countries.
Top mixologists, retail buyers, restaurant owners, distributors and importers from Australia were the judges and the competition was open to all commercially produced spirits from around the world.
With only 12 months in the Australian market, BABY has cemented its place as a serious contender within the local and international spirits industry.
The Award was quickly recognised by distributors with Dan Murphy’s and BWS increasing the product’s physical presence - soon to be available in every major city in Australia for the first time.
BABY Pink Gin Founder, Ellen Weigall (25), said the Award was a tribute to her team who had proven that a pink gin can still wow traditional spirit aficionados.
“Our intention is to prove that aesthetics and quality can co-exist,” said Weigall.
“To gain recognition from esteemed spirits judges certainly shows the research, ingredients, formulation and quality of our product is up there with the best,” she said.
Organiser of the Awards, New York based Adam Levy (The alcohol Professor), said samples were delivered to Australian based judges during Covid.
“While the judges missed the camaraderie of being around other fellow spirits buyers, theory did enjoy tasting at their own pace and were thrilled by the high quality of spirits submitted from so many regions and countries,” said Levy.
Baby Pink is not only for the young but, also for the young at heart. Congratulations
