After an incredible five and a half years in the market, it is with deep sadness that we announce the closure of BABY Pink Gin.
Sadly, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to close after five and a half amazing years.
The latest increase in excise taxes, now over $100 per litre, has made it impossible for us to sustain a viable profit margin. Despite the strong demand, keeping prices competitive is no longer feasible.
Starting this business at 24 was challenging, but the community we’ve built—especially the incredible women I’ve met—has been the most rewarding part. This experience inspired the Female Founders Festival, which has been one of my proudest achievements.
Thank you for all your support. I hope the government soon realises the burden these taxes place on small businesses.
Cheers to BABY Pink Gin!
All my gratitude,
Ellen
